Log Burner Tiles

Hi I am tiling around a log burner. I have used cement board and heat proof tiles and adhesive. My question is, can I tile directly above it. The closure plate is 400mm above it and is flat horizontal. I want to tile it but being fairly sure the tiles will be ok, I’m concerned they may fall off even with heat proof adhesive. Any advice ?

Should be fine. The longer its on the more expansion you'll have but the adhesive manufacturer may be able to help you further. What adhesive are you planning on using?

Thanks, I am using the parace heat resist.
it says resistant up to 250 degrees.
