Could never understand this 'prom' thing. Isn't it just the american word for the school dance? I put this to the kids a few years ago and I think my cred dropped a few notches just by asking.

Hi Sandy, A "Prom" here is more than just a school dance-very formal, dinner beforehand, etc. I went when I was in high school, but I really didn't enjoy it much. Not my kind of thing.

A school dance can be much more informal.

i picked her and a friend up from the prom 11.15 pm . brought them home so they could get changed , then took them to after party about 7 miles away , then picked them back up at 5.30 this morn, ive just got in from work , she is fast asleep . all right for some in it,

when i asked how it went , she said it was ok . ok 320 quid for a dress and it was ok , :mad2:
