Man I need a van

Need to get myself a van. Have you guys any recommendations Re Make, reliabilty, economic to run, buy or lease, does size matter? Any suggestions.

VW Transporter I'd choose if I was getting a van now I think, big enough to carry plaster-boards for those dot and dabbing jobs, small enough to not look like 'white van man'. Check with your accountant and ask what the score is with lease-hire and things like that, if your business is strong enough you may find having a van under warranty could do you a good deal and look the business. Tilers don't always do high mileage and that sometimes helps with a lease-hire. Always check though.

Kangoo's and the likes can be too small if you're going to carry a few other tool types too. Sprinters and transits can be too big if you're not carrying much, so I'd have a think about what you intend to do in the perfect world (being busy, having the knowledge, skill and practise, and the tools etc) so if you plumb, you need maybe a kangoo sized van with a copper pipe tube on the roof rack or a transit van with inside racks if you plumb and carry plywood or plasterboard.
