Mapei Fiberplan slc

Just reporting on using Mapei's Fiberplan slc for the first time recently; great leveller - flowed out, can do thicker coverings, needs no rubbing down- all the trowel marks disappered, no ridges - generally worked very well.
We used it over u/f/h cables which were all covered in one go.

how did you stop ufh cables floating up through the leveller was it a self adhesive mat ?or did you get double side tape ?

does it work and are there any health and safety implications ?i have seen speed heat use carpet spray adhesive then stick the fibre gass mesh over the cable this worked really well they then used ardex na leveling compound really good finish best ive seen

Yes Gary that can be a problem I know - this was loose cable type, it was Warm Up, and they provide thin duck tape to tape all the cable down with. I find this preferable since although it takes a little longer, the slc then makes a clean smooth surface with nothing poking up.
On larger floor areas I use the wider duck tape to get the mesh and cable down flat where necessary, not all over. Better spending some time ensuring that it is all flat, than having it interfere with the floor next day.
Gripfill and heat ? no I dont think thats the way to go for various reasons - tape suffices
