Marble Tiles - How To Cut & Lay

A customer is thinking of installing 600 x 400 marble tiles along walls and floor in their wet room installation. Are these tiles likely to be solid marble? If so, is the only way to cut these with a wet cutter?

Finally, how long would you expect it taking to tile a rectangular wet room measuring 2.5m x 3m, walls and floor only?

I'd get them to hire a pro to fix these. Plenty of issues to consider with marble so not a job for the inexperienced I'd say.

Wet cutter would be ideal. However experienced tiler could do with angle grinder armed with a good blade. Solid or porcelain backing it doesn't matter, marble won't cut with hand cutter. lol. It take good skill to tile wet room properly, especially floor.
Roughly estimate would be 1 day for preparation, 1 day floor, 2-5 days walls, 1 day sealing and grouting. But it's not a good idea to give any estimate without seeing the job. Good luck.

When you say 'a customer' does that mean you are planning on fixing them? With the questions you're asking I'd say leave it to someone experienced. Before worrying about timescales and how to cut them you need to be thinking about weight limits and tanking.......

if i was you i would get someone in who knows what they are dooing as they will not be cheap to buy and by your question you are going to be left with egg on your face,dont take the risk it could cost you a lot of money,explain to the customer that you are not to sure ,better to be safe than sorry
