Alrite lads, I have contacted firms asking if I can tender for ther jobs, I have been asked to send my details 2 a couple of them. What do I send???, r they just passing me on or is this how it works, if any1 could help me I will be very grateful.

Your company profile, CV and any other details such as training and insurance details.

If you are going for these big contracts you will need 10 million Public liability insurance.

You will also be asked for Method statements and Risk assesments

Oh Power tools need to be PAT tested and depending on size of job , number of contractors etc you may need a 1st aider.

Oh yes and they will also want your UTR number. Some require Bank details too for payments via BACS....and of course CSCS card.

Doesnt matter whether you are or not. Insurance is needed.
Some contractors are not so strict but not that many these days.

I think, if I can be honest, you're aiming a bit higher than your capabilities.

I'd avoid contacting such contractors until you have the experience and knowledge to tender for such contracts. And of course the skills when it comes to keeping them.

The more companies you contact now, while you sound so inexperienced, the less you'll be able to contact when you do gain the experience you need as they'll already have you on file as a no-go.

The advice above is good but I think you might have better success working with an existing tiling contractors as one of their tilers rather than bidding yourself. They'd then take care of all the things mentioned above and just let you get on with the tiling work.
