I've removed all banned users, all users not logged in for 365 days, and all users that have been flagged as a supplier.

I want to hit 10k, but when we do, I want them all to be active.

So the new accurate count is ....

Welcome to our newest member, DoctorJ

That's 7,571 members that have spent time signing up themselves. None of them are automatically added, like lots of directories found online!

He gets enough benefits for me being here lol. He pesters me for logo's and website updates and stuff.

After hearing about other sites pestering tilers to sign up, and pre-registering them accounts, I started to develop scripts to crawl the net for tilers and pre-register them. Though I thought sod it. We've got members here that have accidentally found us for what we're best at, our content and advice. And they've chosen to sign up, and stayed. We even have a couple of non-tilers here as it's just a cool place to chat.

So our member count might only be 7k, but that's 7k that have spent time filling in our forms to sign up. And then they spend more time posting to get in the arms, then they spend more time to get known and get in the elite. And that system is flawless.

After doing some calculations though. Spending 10 hours making a script I could get all the tilers listed on all directories and the likes and could end up with 100's of thousands. But what good would that be if they didn't want their accounts? And why should we give out benefits to just any old tiler, they have to be contributors, and without that they'd just be a number.
