It's been out a few weeks now, has anyone used it and how do you think it compares to the old version? And how does it compare to the likes of ultra colour plus?

its a lot easier to use on floors than the old stuff its not as grainy and it mixes up nice

I tried smoke the other week and as above its so much smoother. The formulation is very similar to ucp.

I have tried it but only on a small floor , grout was white but not brilliant white. It worked well and was easy and nice to use. No dramas but nowt special IMHO

Well I used it today for the first time and first impressions are not good. I found it set on the face of the tile after about 2 minutes which made washing off a bit of a mare. This was on a glazed ceramic so, I can't help bit think if it was used on a textured tile or slate you could end up in all sorts of bother.

yeah you are right it did set on the face more than usual i had to grout only about 1 m2 before had to wash

I havent used it yet, but then again my lottery numbers havent come up. I believe its much improved from the original but I'll stick with Mapei UCP for now.

It's definitely finer than the original but, I'm not sure it's a better overall product. The price is quite frankly, outrageous. I'm going to try the new Ardex grouts as I refuse to pay these silly prices.

I tried the Ardex grout and really liked it but again availability comes into play.

Used Ardex fs a few times , good stuff I believe CTD are going to start stocking more colours. Great price too.

I was having a moan in CTD a couple of weeks ago about the Micromax, they have sorted me a couple of sample bags of the Ardex to try. Just need to pick them up.
