Minimum thickness marmox

Hi all
Thoughts would be appreciated from anybody whose used Marmox backer boards before on walls before.
First time i've used these products before and have looked them up.
In the shower enclosure one wall is stud and the other block.
I looked at the Wedi manual and they say a minimum of 10mm,aquapanel 9.5-12.5 is fine and i've assumed the Marmox 10mm would be the same,which i've ordered.
Have received the boards today and inside is a panflet saying on walls 20mm is advised.
Has anybody used 10mm marmox on walls before and in theory is the Wedi and Aquapanel stronger as they say to use 10mm is fine?
Will be mechanically fixing the boards as well

10mm are usually fine with these type of boards... what are you fixing too..?

One wall is vertical stud with me putting in extra noggins and the other is plastered breeze block.
On the block wall will be using the spankers as well as adhesive.
Will update some photos as it's a water damaged untanked shower enclosure.

Found these instructions and 10mm are fine...different nogging distance for board thicknesses..

That info not included in the A4 pamphlet i received.
Clearly says minimum reccommended thickness 20mm.
Here's photos for a viewing.
On the walls the tiles came away from a little bit of teasing with a screwdriver.
The plinth backend is totaly rotted.
Should have got a photo of the stain damage on the dining room ceiling.
Best part a 'tiler' sold them the house!

Ruff innit... what was stuck over the mosaics in the shower... was it a bath seal of some description.

Was like a 2 inch upvc trim
The owner said they were told it was tiled 2 years ago.

Disgrace the amount of ingression there.

This 2/3 inch strip he fitted probably stored all the water never allowing the moisture to dry out behind it.
