Mitring ceramics in a shower?

Alright boys and girls, hope everyone has had a good weekend and not too many of us have been working straight through!

Anyways I'll maker this quick, starting a job tuesday for a local builders, never worked for them before and would like to showcase my talents somewhat! My name got recommended to them already so a good first impression to build on. The job is a bathroom and shower area in a fairly top end rental flat. Tiles are ceramic white ripple jobs. Cant stand them. I'm not gonna rant but I really really do hate them. Anyways it's a top place so want it to be good. Hate trims, I've been trying to mitre everything I can lately, think it's nearly as quick provided the prep is done spot on.

The shower area has been built by sticking a wedi'd stud partition in the corner of the room. The width of the wall is probably about 200mm wide and obviously where it ends in the middle of the room there is a 200 mm wide face to tile. That is a terrible explanation but even that took me ages, struggling tonight!! Anyway i would want to mitre both edges, obviously, but the tiles are 250mm at narrowest. So one side will have to be a mitre on a cut edge. Isn't that gonna look really naff? I mean just look a bit shoddy? And also it should be pretty sharp as well so that's probably not a good thing either.

Anyone got any advice or pointers or anything that can help me out? Would be much appreciated

always put the cut edge inside the good edge and rub a piece of scratch on he cut edge would love to show you lol

Why have you rejected trim? I've used white baked enamel ali trim with a square edge with white glazed tiles before and it really does look good. I dont mitre ceramic wall tiles mainly because imo a finished enamel ali edge will protect the edge and looks better than trying to mitre a cut edge. You could rub the edge down but it will never look as good as a factory finished edge.

If it is a rectified tile then the cut edge will look as good mitred as the factory edge but if the tile has a bevel then the cut edge will not look as good but it is still possible. As pjc said use sand paper to rub the cut side down and you will produce a good finish.

mitring does look much more professional IMO but i have seen very few jobs done well

Yeah I hear what you're all saying. I just have an aversion to trims and where I am (guernsey) we dont have a huge selection. Mainly genesis round. Horrible. I mean it's okay in the six mm but any bigger and it just gets massive. With the sanding down, would you use a block? And what are sanding? The front edge of the cut?

you don't want to cut into the glaze so you keep the blade about .5 mm away then lightly rub the sharp edge with fine paper at about 45 degs hardly touching it and put it inside the full tile as such see if i can find a pic these were taken a few weeks ago a job done 15 years ago lol
