Hi I am about to tile a shower area with 23 x 23 x 10mm mosaic. It is a walk in shower area with partitions which will be glazed.
The problem is that in order for the sides to line through flush with the end and finish on a full tile I will need a 4-5mm adhesive bed. This is of course way too much.
The only solution I can think of is to build out the thickness of the partitions using a thin tile backer board.
If I do this I will be able to leave the right dimensions for the adhesive bed.
What would people recommend for thickness of adhesive and which trowel to use? Should I have a slightly thicker bed on the floor?
Or does anyone have any other suggestions as to how to tackle this problem.
I have attached a photo and illustration
Thanks very much for your help
Best Regards
