Hi, i have a kitchen spashback to tile (mosaic) do you butt up the joins around the window or do you use trim like with ceramics, also am worried about cutting around sockets etc any advise would be great cheers guys..

Well if you dont know and I aint telipathic we wont get far.

Generally imo trim with ceramic but not with stone (looks cheap)

Sockets are easy with a good pair of snips m8

tiler

Depending on how thick they are...the thin type!! you wont use trims with them either....The glass ones don't need trims as well.....

What i mean is when i come to tackling the window do i mitre the joints or do i use trim or do i butt the tiles together also whats the best way to leave the top of the tiles as there only going halfway up the walls

your first queation-butt joints, second one i would grout on top,but its each to their own!

hi crazysteve

but the edges around the window. mosaics and natural stone tiling aways look authentic/natural this way.

as for finishing half way up the wall, then yes you can finish with grout or you could suggest a metal trim as a minimalist alternative?

hope this helps
