My bathroom

After ripping off the old tiles 3 years ago I finally got around to doing my own bathroom!
I re-boarded with WEDI and had an idea of doing something different and creative especially as I'd got hold of some Bisazza mosaics.
I curved off the main corner with Ardex AM100 quick drying render and made a shelf with spare WEDI board that sat on the curve, above which the corner remained square. This all had to be measured so the mosaics fitted.
I decided to curve the edge of the body of the mosaics to make it more interesting.
At some point I'll continue along to the right of the main wall and go above the sink and also do the floor. The rest of the walls will get a new coat of white paint, hopefully this decade!
I used Mapei P10 and Ultracolour Plus in Violet.

Is the CD you curved corner screeding tool?

To get the curve I had to do it in two stages because AM100 can go to 20mm in one go. At first I just used an old cutting blade, let that dry off and then a plate! I just ran them up the corner, keeping them tight into the corner so it was square, that was filled with the AM100!
I'd not done it before so just made it up as I went along.

cheers

Looking very nice there. Love seeing mosaics put up properly, but hate putting them up with a passion. Give me some large format porcelain anytime.

I totally missed this one!

Love the work Missy. And the colour.

Sounds like the mosaic course paid off then. lol
