A while back I tried My Workman, I paid a small fee but never got a job although I did contact the advertisers. I personally think that a lot of these ads are made up to create interest.
Anyway its been a while and I still get messages about jobs within my location but never contact them as i would need to pay My Workman another fee.
One particular job was very local to me ( they give the post code but not address) so while passing I took a drive past where the job was meant to be...sure enough it looked like a house matching that post code according to Google maps had a skip on the drive.
I parked at the end of the road and walked up the road with a handful of flyers I had printed years ago. I posted them through letterboxes 5 houses either side and the house in question.
Before I got home my phone rang and I measured the job and got it there and then . The client said how spooky it was as they were after a tiler and my flyer landed on the mat .

So it can work ....cheers for the postcode My Workman.

Well when work is getting a bit thin on the ground I use my time to do what I must.

Too right Neale, far too many tradesmen complaining that they've got no work and when you ask them what they're doing about it they answer, 'just waiting for the phone to ring'. How's about get off your lazy *** and do this exact thing, delivering a few hundred leaflets or business cards only takes half a day.

Just a note. It doesnt cost to sign up and get notified of jobs in your chosen area. But if you want details or contact that person you have to pay.
When the notifications come through it will say where about but give the postcode....thats when you google the postcode or put into satnav and do teh flyers....cost ? Zilch .
What you got to lose ?
