needing some advice

hi all,

have just done my first tiling job a kitchen floor with ceramic tiles which were 450mm by 450mm. The whole floor was 17m2 including the utility i put an expansion at the door of the utility room as it was close to 4m from that point back to the dining room. Now the customer is saying they are not totally happy with this and i should'nt have put an expansion joint there as it is'nt necessary. So should i or should i not have put an expansion there please help, many thanks,

Is it a strip or just a sillicone filled grout joint?

hiya abc,what kind of finsih did you put in is it a coloured one from the likes of dural or a silicone one? ie does it tie in with the look of the floor

i dint see you have done anything wrong and i think you have taken measures other tilers wouldnt have

The tiles have 4mm grout lines grouted in grey and i made the expansion 6mm filled with grey silicone to match the colour of the grout

Thanks for that i told him that tonight on the phone that if he wanted it changed by me or anyonelse and there were any problems that i would not be responsible gets better though am sure the people who advised that the expansion was'nt necessary were the guys who fitted the new kitchen worktops deary me!!!!! Like i said in my first post this was my first tiling job and has been a good eperience on the whole
