New boiler.

Anyone remember my boiler keeps breaking down, last xmas was the last time.. or was it january as well..:lol:

Anyway, New boiler going in tomorrow.. so fingers crossed nice warm winter.( Indoors)..

ooh, good luck... we still only have a third of our radiators working, micro bore system, got flushed loads of times and still no joy, and the boiler turns itself on even when turned off on the timer.... pfffff....

Had my boiler replaced last year got a worcester bosch 39kw,had it moved into the garage all pipe work, remote timer and thermostat including the electrician cost me £1350.

that's a very competitive price Paul. sounds like they did a great job.

our boiler is a Potterton and when my heating engineer came out to service it not long after we moved in (it was a repo, so the system had been drained down and everything decommissioned) he was astounded to find that the boiler had gone rusty on the inside (he says it takes years for a boiler to rust internally) and that the wiring had never been connected up to the control timer correctly since it was fitted. it's worked like a dream ever since, although I can still empty a tank full of hot water just by me taking a long shower :lol:

I got the boiler online Liz my nieghbours son is a heating engineer and he did the work for me just had it serviced by him last sunday £40.

All sorted.. and nice new boiler.. no probs.. went really smoothly and very clean workers.. and should be nice and warm this winter..

Got a Worcester 28i installed.. 2 new rads( others to small for spec) and new TRV's all round( every rad)..


Oh! and paul.. no tiles to come off , so no need to get a proper tiler in, so you can come learn how to do it..:lol:
