HI there. I would like any advice the more the better on retraining to become a tilie fixer and plumber in a view to start my own business. Bored with my job as an engineer i want to work for myself and feel it is now or never. I am doing lots of research but am i being realistic? How much can i learn in a 4 week tiling course and a 10 wek plumbing course when there are 2 yr apprenticships for these jobs.
How busy are you tilers out there is it more domestic or commercial . After my 3 months training do i have to prepare myself for no work while i get established ? What sort of money do you charge a day or m2 I imagine there has been many posts like this sorry ! But any comments appreciated and any suggestions for courses .Many thanks
