new cutters

priced a job up today and will need new cutters the tiles are fully rectified porcelain 600 x 600 due to the odd shape of the room some tiles will need to be cut corner to corner my rubi tr700 wont be up for the job will a tx 900 be the tool i need ?

You should take a look at the Genesis cutter. I hear there cutting better than Rubi and Sigma. Lol. :yikes:

I got a Montolit masterpuima 600 and it is crap.. chips tiles like hell... so seen as sigmas are based on Monty's then nah.. not bothered..

but to answer ya question.. no i have not tried one..

with all the cutters on the market now , its all down to personal choice
i luv sigma.s others prefer rubi , or montolit ect

lad i some times work with uses montolit , when i use it i some times chip tiles , he never does , its what you are used to

I dont think you can say a Sigma is the same as a Montolit, Thats like saying A Rubi Ts, TX is the same as Genesis (Rubi lookalikes) .

It is what you are used to and I have recently used a Montolit and found it ok but not enough to make me consider one should I fancy a change. I have also used a TX 700 and 900 recently and had chipping and breaking problems but that could be more me than the cutter.
Just use what you feel happy with is my philosophy....That said, I feel there are more Rubi owners that have changed to Sigma than Sigma owners changing to Rubi.

Until a few years ago I used only Montolit Masterpiuma, then I know I have to say that Sigma is after the rulers well, makes you very precise cuts. Then vote for the Sigma 10 +

Dave my monty only chips tiles if there are any random chips trapped in and around the sprung bed.
