New Forum Features

I've added a couple of new forum features, and have fixed the profile page bug that displayed everything weirdly.

New Features:-

• Like system and "tree" (a bit like the thanks button, you'll see this being used today no doubt)
• Post threads to Twitter (do this by selecting the drop down link at the top of a thread titled "linkbacks" and then select "post to twitter" or whatever it says)

Ah, found the like button... on top of the page... so it's for the thread rather than individual posts, right?

That's the facebook one, which stopped working but has been fixed. That's for the whole thread and it publishes it to your wall so your FB friends know what you've liked (it's becoming more popular with external websites such as new websites and whatnot).

Though the other like system is for individual posts, and Neales new job thread I've liked a few posts in it so you can see what's going on with that : http://www.tilersforums.com/tiling-forum/45387-latest-job.html

The like button is hidden but it's in the bottom right hand corner of each individual post, if you hover the mouse over that area of the post you'll see the link appear "like" - click it and you'll see you get added to the list of people who liked the post.

It's a bit like the "thanks" feature to be fair so we'll see how we get on with it over the coming months.

Worth noting that you can customize your own profile pages now too. So you can match your company colours or whatever. Just go to your profile and click "customize" (spelt the american way! tut)

Yes..

If you click first page of any thread and then click that it will take you to first post you have not read yet..

Dan, why is there a love heart?!!!! I like you guys and gals but I'm not ready to move forward so quickly!!! My mum always said that you can't rush into these thing because thats how you get hurt!

Perhaps I need to change that to a trowel or something.
