Welcome aboard. I've relaxed the word-filter a little (anti-spam thing) so if your post doesn't contain links, it should go through now.
As said above, you're welcome here, just don't use the forum commercially.
Thanks Dan,
I did wonder if my username was triggering the problem (there is no website in that name BTW). However I would prefer to be above board about who I am and what I do rather than creating a private presence and sliding in through the side door.
Yes I am a diamond tool supplier and I was trying to post and request how a poster of my nature would be treated and what the etiquette of the forum actually is.
I won't post any links to any of the products I have.
Your forum members are pretty much my target customers for some new products I have that are not currently offered by any of your sponsors (not for holesaws by the way as you clearly already have a sponsor for the same) .
So how do I go about getting the information across without upsetting the apple cart?
Example - I produce a Profiling tool that fits a well known make of wet saw - but I've made it with different arbour sizes and I'm trying to research what machines tilers use and what sizes are needed to fit each particular tool. SO there is an element of market research I'm trying to undertake.
I come from a Tiling background, in fact I authored the contents one of your sticky posts many years ago. The one about not using PVA that was made a sticky thread was actually from an article I wrote - although written quite some time before 2007!
I used to specialise in natural stone products but now mainly deal with the tools to cut or shape it. Most of my customers are in the marble and granite industries but I was being asked by tilers if I could make products to perform on site and that's what I'm working on.
Do I become a forum sponsor if I wish to take this any further?
