Snag is, while the rest of the country is in a housing slump, every Californian that can afford it - and a few that can't - is building a house on the Oregon coast. Result - very few tradesmen and no tilers, so if I want to move in this year it's a DIY job and I'll be a frequent visitor to this site. It's already solved one problem - a flat wetroom floor excepting a 3x3 foot hole around the drain.
Well, I won't be first on-the-job-trainee on this project, and I'd have to try really hard to be the worst.

P.S. If any of you chaps want to help fill the void, the language barrier's not too bad, some of the beer is drinkable, but bring yer own Marmite!
