New Tiler...

Hi all, firstly wanted to introduce myself to the forum...

After 7 years in engineering, decided to have a complete career change in tiling - always had an interest. Completed the course at the begining of the year, done a few private jobs - but keen to work on my speed.

Looking for a bit of advice, as after reading the forums I can see the best route is working for a contracting company. Does anyone know of any agencies/contractors in the Berkshire/London area that are good or looking for new tilers to bring on board?! With own tools, transport & CSCS card???

Thanks for the advice, just going through the process of getting some more privates on my books, but is very slow....any advice ? Has business slowed up in general with the housing market thing ? Thanks again Phil

been flat out myself havn't had a slack period for a very long time.i have built a good reputation. as for the housing market dont worry there is still money out there.

Hi Phil, I did 30 + yrs in engineering, best decision you'll ever make. (I hope) Personally I am to slow to be a contractor. Prefer to work at my own pace, doing the best job I can and the results pay off in the long run with work through word of mouth. Good Luck
