New van

I'm looking for a new van at the moment, i have a vauxhall combo but its to small, i looked at a transit connect lwb, but i don't think that's big enough. So its either a vauxhall vivaro, Renault traffic, or a vw transporter. I have £7,000 i want to spend so if you have either one of these vans let me know what you think. Are they reliable, fuel economy etc.

Heard the Toyota is a good van, Got a transit myself but find on an 04 plate that little bits of rust seems to be rearing their ugly head already. Know a few guys who have got vivaro/renault and most say for van there like a car to drive

Just got a Trafic.....2 weeks ago

Not too sure on Reliability, but I think and HOPE that it will do the job.

Paid £6450 for mine. 05 plate...32k on the clock. And its not white (I hate white vans:whatchutalkingabout )

Out of the 3 identical Vans.........Nissan Primastar/Renault Trafic & Vauxhall Vivaro.

I was looking in that order.........only because the spec is better on the Nissan then Trafic.....and last vivaro. VW you May have trouble finding a low miler for 7k

I first saw it on there.............and Pm'd the guy, then we did the deal privately. He wanted £6450..........I was'nt gonna chance loosing it...........so I gave him £6450.

Seen identical vans on ebay and autotrader for a hell of a lot more..........so I'm happy.

Have fun...............It took me a month to find wot I was looking for. So don't rush.

There are web sites you can go to which give indications if the vehicle had recalls and faults, My transit had 9 recalls

Hi there enduro,
I bought a new traffic last year.great buy.nice silver and i got it sign written.
2 litre turbo diesel,115 bhp,does about 35 mpg,i have only 8000 miles up so far,no probs apart from radio,got it sorted.I can set a pallet of tiles into side opening no prob,will carry over a ton so thats 50 20kg of addy etc.
Really comfortable to drive and manovre.I had a berlingo before,no comparrison.
Enjoy driving to work now.

A mate of mine is a courier, he bought a new renault (same as the vivaro), it is 3yrs old now, and has done in excess of 180k and still runs like new....

Thats good to hear,hope mine does it,some f****r hit my van last week,small sent behind back wheel arch,could have been worse,They drove on too,i never seen it happen,

The new transporters are the best vans out there, no question. pricey but depreciation is alot slower than other vans, thats what i would consider if i had that kind of money for a van.

im with pete on this one...cant beat vw for reliability and durability..had lots of vw cars and my family have had campers cant fault them ,so vw all the way for me.YOU MIGHT HAVE TO PAY A LITTLE BIT EXTRA FOR A VW BUT WORTH IT.

I have the Trafic its a 54 Plate but 05 Reg. I bought it with 17,000 miles for £10K it now has nearly 40,000 miles. It drives like a car and returns an excellent MPG about 32ish. I put the extra seats in. It is fantastic IMO and goes like the proverbial S**t off a Shovel I would thoroughly recommend this van to anyone. In fact I am that impressed I am thinking about getting another one.,

driven the traffic vivaro primestar the best one for spec is primestar must go for 6 speed gear box . v w also good van plus worth looking at vito good luck , no a few van dealers if you struggle finding anything plus also get bike in the back plus power washer:lol:

54 reg Vivaro for me. Love it, 85000 on clock now but hasn't missed a beat.
Twin side loading doors are a big help too.
