Crazy stuff. I think the government should be stepping in and stopping this now, we've had it long enough. There should be a cap on the total amount of foreigners that can work here short term. Giving the british a chance to earn money in their own country instead of upping and leaving or becoming a dole dosser. I understand the argument about a lot of britts not wanting to work (I know a few myself) but the builders just find it too easy to employ cheap foreign labour and I think in most of the cases there would be britts wanting the work.

I can't see it changing though to be honest. There would need to be a big shake up to change things and it'd be too much trouble for the government to bother with.

Did anyone see the news this morning... loads of indians etc that came here for work when it was booming and they paid 1000's to get here via the illegal route of being smuggled in etc and now they are sleeping rough in make shift camps under bridges etc..

They cannot go back to india as they destroyed their passports before coming, so they could not be deported back as the goverment could not tell where to deport them back to, now there is no work thery cannot get home, as the indian goverment need passport as proof of being born in india..
