Newbie saying hi

Hi everyone, I'm Andy.

I started tiling recently after training at Specialist Trade Courses some promises of work but thats changed now so out on my own, but I have to say I am enjoying it more and more.

Love the site and all the info has helped me work out bits for the couple of jobs I have had.

Hi,

Well I was promised training and work through a family member who has a plumbing and heating business but after I took the initiative to sort out a course and make myself at least somewhat useful there was only 3 m2 one time and then a bit of grouting another and that was it. This was last March!!

messed up was not the word but hey ho, I am now trying to get my own work now and see where that gets me, just finished a full bathroom for my mum, a bathroom floor for wife's sister and got my first outside the family job this week

Yeah it was good, taught me the basics. The only issue is the adhesive is premixed powder stuff with the cement removed so it doesn't set meaning we had no idea about how to mix it properly. This has caused me a few issues with rapid set stuff and have wasted a fair bit lol.

The tutor was good tho and taught things in a way so you understood it, also took the mick alot so you felt at ease.
