HI all, Im a virgin to here, so be gentle with me, I've just completed a 4 week course with pts at harlow, I work in an audio dept for a tv company which involves night shift work. I work a rota week on, week off shift, and am looking to do tiling in my weeks off, if all goes well I hope to do the tilling full time and work for myself and give up the night shifts, but hey i dont know how much work is out there so maybe im being a little naive, anyway hello chaps,

Hi there and welcome to the forums

Atleast you are starting off the most sensible way of doing things, fitting in tiling work around your current job and build up from there, unlike a lot who just quit the day job to tile then find the bill ain't getting paid.

Good luck, and welcome to the forums again

Hi Noaksy, just don't get caught out with your jobs overlapping one another, someone will get p****d off. I'm a firefighter and i tile on my days off, but i don't tell the customer what i do so i have to be careful that i don't start a job and then sod off for 2 days and then come back, some people don't like that, understandably.
