Hi Guys - new to the trade and to the forum

just setting up on own after being made redundant from last job , would appreciate any advice you could give on the ideal cutters both manual and electric to get started with. Im mainly looking at doing ceramic tiling as my training has concentrated on that.

The two cutters ive shortlisted are ...

Rubi TS-40-PLUS Tile Cutter -

Rubi DU-200-BL Electric Wet Cutter 230v -

Im trying to keep my spend to a reasonable amount given my personal circumstances, but if you feel id get a better cutter for a bit more, then id really appreciate such advice

Ts 40 would be good for small tiles but unless your happy to use the wet cutter on most floor tiles I would go for one of the larger manual cutters. If price is an issue the big clinker has just gone back down in price at screwfix this week (bargain price)

tfs -thanks the for advice - could you recommend a larger manual cutter or do you think the "big clinker" is a preferred option to the TS40 ?

welcome to the forum, mmm we could talk cutters all day but stick with your budget and make do with choices mentioned until you require a larger cutter

hi and welcome, sigma do some nice dry cutters, however some tilers find them hard to use, so best to stick with what you know.

as for wet cutters your chioce is fine, however i would go for a flat bed cutter with no length restriction.

guys sorry to come back to the original subject, but can you offer me some advice as to whether I stick with the original wet cutter option of

or should I invest in one I noticed a few guys were talking positively about on here Bricollini?
