Hi

Our tiler who has done a good job making the tiles flat on an existing wall which was off from 0 to 12 mm. This has left a gap along the bottom of the tile.
We are about to insert the only trim we have been offered which is 6mm which takes our wet vynal flooring and makes it waterproof.
problem we have is that the tiles are 10mm thick so the trim fits hard onto the existing wall and leave a gap up the back off the tile.

So trying to make the tile waterproof is going to be difficult.

Does anybody know of a better trim ie wider that would at least close the gap ?

I could get the gap sealed with mastic to allow waterproofing - would that be an option ? And if so do I need to get the tiler to leave a gap between the plastic trim and the tile to allow the mastic to get into a gap.

As above but use grout .

If I do go with any of the above options this will still leave the some of the bottom edge of the tile exposed - can I get a sealer to make this edge waterproof .

Thanks in advance for your help

Regards

Gary
