This job has dragged on far too long, everything that could go wrong did. Today I went back to install the custom shower screen & mirror to finish it off. I won't bore you with the details but it's be at least 10 weeks to complete. Of course I haven't been there for that long but to get the last bits done has taken an age.

I'm completely shattered and I don't even feel good about this job anymore, I refurbed the whole house last year and many things have now been trashed so it takes the wind out of your sails a bit

anyway here it is

nice job mate!

the previous work didn't look that old but the tiler should really have worked with the customer on the pattern and style

The whole house was done by somebody else 6 years ago, it was that crap they asked me to do it again last year. I'll see if i've got pics of how the old bath panel was held on, always good for a laugh!

I saw the first pic and though rubbish that is not good.. then i scrolled down.. WOW!! .. Nice!!!!!!!!!!!! Work..

I take it I would have lost my green badge

I always do wonder about posting before pics, i think it's always a good idea to embed BEFORE in the pic so no one gets the wrong idea!

Thank you guys, feeling a bit better about the job now.

The bathroom has some very strong lines which I’ve carried on throughout the room, it's never obvious but when you stand in the room it all flows, you may not know why but it does. It's little things that give it that feel. This may sound poncy but the bathroom dimensions all relate to something else in the room.

for instance take a look at this picture,

I had the shower screen made so it follows the lines of both the front edge of the vanity unit and the top of mirror above, you may also see that the tiles on the bath panel are also set to follow these line down from the shower screen and of course the vanity unit. Another thing, I raised the window revel 30mm so it is also in line with the top of the basin.

As I say these things aren't obvious but subconsciously your brain is aware of them when you scan the room, so it flows. It doesn't make or break a bathroom but it certainly helps with good design IMO
