Discuss Non slip tiles in the UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.
ok cheers sean, yes they were a bugger to grout, took ages to get them clean, but elbow grease and the thought of shed loads of beer and food for 5 days i soldiered on .Craig,
A topical sealer will change the slip resistance of the porc 'anti slip' tile. i.e. it will make them slippy!
An impregnating sealer will not penetrate the porc tile. So sealing them is not an option.
I can't tell from the pic, but I presume this tile is quite rough to the touch? The only way to clean them properly is with a rotary brush or by getting on your hands and knees and scrub them with a brush.
These non slip tiles are only really used in commercial areas and are therefore cleaned by cleaning companies with specialised cleaning equipment.
Were they a bugger to grout? (i.e. tiles holding onto the grout).
Enjoy your hols.
Sean
