Hi ya all.

Just had a look at a customers 2 bed flat which has been laid with ceramic tiles that give a wooden floor effect throughout. The tiles have a matt look about them and the customer wants to know if it would be possible to change the look to a glaze finish.
I ve explained to customer that I will make a few enquries to see if there are any special products available as Im not too sure.
Would it be possible to seal these tiles to bring them up to the customers requirements.
If so could some one please advise on way forward if there is one.

Thanks

I admire your resolve but the facts are you have a surface that has been fired in a kiln to a semi vitrified state at best or fully vitrified at worst and now you are proposing to try and add a topical product to something which has a very tight surface tension it may work for a short while depending on foot traffic and cleaning process however, the inevitable will happen and the topical product whatever you use will start to fail in time! Then think what are you going to do? Keep going back to maintain it every time they complain? My advice explain it to them nicely and walk. In a nutshell It is a bit like trying to paint glass
