Got a phone call earlier from a company that is in a large office block, basically want me to tile 45sqm (2 bathrooms).
They are desperate for the tiling to be done and even want me to start the job tomorrow as a tiler has let them down.
Going to look at the job later but was wondering if there is anything i should be wary of when doing this type of work, wondering why the tiler let them down for a start.

Good thing is though the business is a property management company so may lead to more work.

Well just been to look at it and it is a great job.
It is actually a bathroom, toilet and a utility cupboard, 34sqm not 45sqm.
Few sparkys and a plumber there when i got there so had a chat with them and they said the company is great, they always do work for them, pay by cheque the minute you finish the job.
Said to them im doing this because another tiler let them down and do they know why? The tiler didn't let them down as in not turning up he let them down with the quality of work so they have decided to stop him working.

The rooms have no windows just 4 well plastered walls in each, simple.
Charged them 710 quid for it and they are also providing the adhesives (Bal blue star) so im well happy.

Thats 3 quotes done today and got all 3 jobs :) one quote left to do at 6 so fingers crossed it is a day of getting 4 jobs wooohhoo

Late start today (doctors appointment). Was tiling yesterday and a bloke in a suit walked in and stood there for 10 minutes while i was working away he then phoned someone on his mobile. 2 minutes later another bloke comes in, 1st bloke to 2nd bloke : "look at the difference in this compared to the other rooms that have been done"
"that looks fantastic mate, we have around another 12 of these that need doing throughout the building if you are interested, also taking over the building next door in 6 weeks which we are converting into offices and will also require a makeover"
Turns out he was the area manager for the company so fingers crossed this bloke is going to throw the work my way, he was over the moon with the quality.
