Thanks for all the feedback, the walls are solid (ex council), i am new to the tiling game and thought there was some some sort of product out there that could be used to prepare the walls before plastering / tiling. Will be going for the scrape off paint option as the job is for my in-laws and money is tight. Thanks again and if anyone in the Plymouth area is looking for a keen helper on any jobs, drop me a line via this site, want to learn as much as possible as you only do so much on courses.
