on the level otl tanking kit

anyone used this tanking kit before.
recommended with on the level birch ply trays.
seems very expensive.
is it any good or can anyone offer an alternative that will be ok over these trays

I used it all last year the architect spesifide it it was ok nothing special slow drying and no better than the BAL one. To be honest I would rather of used Mapei or Ardex or Weber as they all dry faster.

Well it's Very expensive and I also suspect that no better than ardex or other similar.
were you using in conjunction with on the level birch ply deck trays .
the only reason I am thinking I would rather use this product is that it is it is recommended with on the level trays .
usual old thing .i always think better to go by the recommendation nowasdays in case a problem and then I am fully covered .
i think I could supply similar at fraction of cost of otl product but is it worth it.
probably ok in this circumstance but I have seen plenty of failures with impey deck trays where tiler has decided he does not want to use their horrific bitumen based tanking and a failure on a wet tray with porcelain that might not be matched in future is very expensive.
that extra time to fit the the impey tanking system then seems cheap!,,
should add that was the old impey system . Lo and behold they have a new one now which is more user friendly but incredibly expensive as before.

Yes m8 I agree best to use what they recommend it's just not worth the hassle if anything go wrong
