What is it you aim to do ?

My guess is he is considering laying tiles in a pattern composed of 3 different sized tiles and he wants to calculate how many of each is required for a given size of room.

What I would do is multiply the length x width of each tile, add them together and divide the answer into 10,000. That will give you how many tiles per m2. Multiply this number by the m2 of the room and that should give you how many of each tile is required.

Of course, this all depends on what pattern he is planning on using, because if a certain tile size out of the three repeats more often than the other two, then this of course, will not work...
