I hope everyone had a good Christmas. I thought I would take the time to make this post for anyone who is going to take their AM2/AM2s in the New Year. I passed first time back in August completing my Apprenticeship.
First off. I was very nervous about taking my AM2 after hearing people talk about how difficult it is. In reality I had no need to be, as it’s not that difficult. I’m based in Northern Ireland and went to the Armagh Net Centre and had a good experience.
There is no secret about what is on the AM2s. The Net Readiness for Assessment Checklist tells you what is on the assessment.

Overall I found the assessment to be fair and I didn’t think there was anything on the assessment designed to try and “Catch you out”
1.) Follow the specification. Do exactly what it says.
2.) Use all of the available time on the sections. You are not allowed to carry over any time you didn’t use on one section to the next.
3.) If you are unsure of any of the instructions given to you in the specification your assessor is there to answer these questions for you. Obviously they cannot give you the answer and tell you what to do.
