i had a lovely old girl 85 ring worried about 2 blown tiles in her bathroom.
went round cuppa straight away,i took off 6 tiles replaced them and grouted them (ok thats a no no) had a chat for half hour an started to leave,how much do i owe you she asks,nothing i reply,to cut a long story short she couldnt believe someone would do this for nothing.
i never ever give to charity of any sort but ive always done this and to be honest it makes me feel good,she was so pleased so that makes her my perfect customer.

Indeed, I always say to customers that if they chip a tile, or something happens, I'll always come round and replace for free if they keep hold of the spare tiles. Even if its 10 years later Always goes down well, and so far (touch wood) havent had a call back.
