Plaster drying time / primer to use before tanking

Hi all....... two questions if i may........may be tiling a shower room in the next couple of days (all four walls / enclosed shower cubicle walls tiled as well)....at present the substrate is moisture board (plaster board)......client is getting plasterer in to skim coat the board......my question is how long do i need to allow the plaster to dry for before i can tile?......also, i am going to be tanking the shower area with gum, probably the WP1 option from topps......there are so many products out there, so what would you recommend i use to prime the plastered board with before tanking?.....thanks so much!

dont skim the board , much better of with out it, what size tiles are you using, does it say with your tanking kit weather it needs priming or not , or his there a primer with it
i would also use a white powdered adhesive, not a tubbed addy

thanks for that, mate.......i have suggested to the client that i tile directly onto the plasterboard and have explained why.......i am going with cementitious adhesive.........also, the tanking kit is the BAL WP1 which, i have since discovered, comes with the BAL APD primer......BAL's technical guide recommends priming all surfaces to be tanked.....thanks for your interest buddy.

If the boards are skimmed you might as well put standard board in the shower, as above don't skim.
