Bathroom renovation underway and would appreciate some feedback
Skimmed plasterboard walls are being overboarded with cement board to take the porcelain tiles (21Kg/m) that we have chosen. The tiles won't extend across the entire width of the wall so I intend to have the non tiled section of the wall skimmed (final finish will be paint).
The question is do I tile first and then get the skimming done, or would I be better off working out exactly where the tiling will finish and put something in place temporarily (e.g. vertical baton) to give the plasterer something to work up to?
The edges of the tile look quite "reasonable" if you know what I mean and will probably not use an edging strip if that makes a difference.
Cheers - Kev
