Plasterboard face?

Hey peeps

First post so feel free to point me to the correct topic (I've looked but just confused).

Searched all over the net and found lots of different opinions but.....

What face of the plasterboard should I be tiling on? I have green (Wickes) moistureboard for the bathroom - one green side - no print/labels on either side - taper on the white/pale side.

Intend using the bal kit for around bath area (shower over).

Also while I'm at it is a primer needed before tiling - again many opinions found.

Gyproc is normally green both sides, with the back side having print on it. Dont know about the Wickes stuff but sounds odd!

Priming depends on what the manufacturer of the adhesive your using says. Some say do, some say dont.

The paper on one side folds round the edges to the back of of the board, that should give you an indication what side you need..

British Gypsum recommends that the plastering side for plaster you use ThistleBond-it

It's a low suction board, so use cement based adhesive.
