plastic ply

any one used this yet? looks rubbish to me but i would like to hear from some tilers who have used it and their thoughts on it as i wish to remain open minded

Gary, I haven't ever heard of plastic ply, but there is a backer board that is coming to market here (supposedly) that is made of recycled carpet...and is essentially a plastic backer board. I saw a sample of it and it is quite strange to say the least.

its like a plastic version of the galvenised expamet sheet we used to use years ago when there was no alternative, not going to rush to go back to it with all the other proven products available now.

Nicobond are one of the few adhesive manufacturers that actually recommend PVA :yikes:

I love the part in that video where he is laying the second plastic ply and the 1st piece comes up :lol:

I've got muddled a bit here, is No More Ply, plastic pliable backer board, or is it more like a hardie type cement board?

No More Ply is similar to Hardibacker.
