Ply lining vans

Has anyone ply lined their own van and did you think it was worth putting some form of insulation behind the ply first ?

Never seen insulation behind any ply linning and if they did it would heve to be fire proof.

I ply lined mine & have it insulated with expanding foam.

I did think about putting expanding foam behind mine but wondered if it would make much of a difference without having the roof insulated which isn't lined.

It defo did make a difference. A few years back, I had to bin about 50 tubes of Silicon, pink grip, grip fill & other various things as the frost hit them through the walls. Never had to do it since I put in expanding foam

I bought a pre cut kit for my van and put it in myself, when I priced up how much the ply would be and how long it would take to cut it, it wasn't worth trying to make it all myself for the few quid I would have saved. I'll see if I can find a link to the place I bought from.

Bought it from the same place. Was it a good fit ?

Spot on and I mean, spot on. All the pre drilled holes were in the right place, it took a couple of hours to do if I remember correctly, nearly 3 years since I got the van.

I just get my new vans ply lined by the garage,, they tend to use a ply lying comp.. saves me having to do it
