Polished porcelain do you seal the back

Can anybody tell me if you need to seal the back and sides of polished porcelain when fitting the dreaded b q tiles?

You never seal the back and sides of any tile as by doing so you are inhibiting the grab for adhesives and then grout which will ulimately end in a failure.

Agreed.

Sealing the back would stop the adhesive from adhering to the procelain. Porcelain is NOT really a porous product to begin with. The reason for sealing is to seal any of the "pores" that open up when the porcelain is polished

i would suggest seal a metre at a time before fixing carlufc use fila sealer it does nt need wiping off

personally i tend to give any tile i've sealed a wipe with a dry/clean cloth after about 20 mins and i use fila more often than not!

defo never seal back or side of tiles though!
