Hi there, I'm a regular user of site but rarely post threads or get involved but info supplied is top notch. I have a problem with a floor I'm going to tile on. Its a shop floor (new building) and there is a concrete floor in place. Its not in great nick as in there is lumps here and there and isn't really flat. There is roughly 60sqm in it and the owner wants a non-slip porcelain tile (60x25) installed. I want to do the best job possible obviously but need advice regarding the subfloor preparation. Also with the amount of traffic walking on it, is there anything extra I can do the give tiles that extra grip??

If it's a concrete floor as described my personal view is it needs a floor screed if it's as bad as you say, If it's a screed then perhaps some good slc. The reason I say that is because some screed floors are being called concrete which there not. As your've stated the tile's are non slip, Dave gave a website for a non slip liquid that can be painted onto tile's' Go to search your'll find it there somewhere in the forums, It won't be cheap.

if the tiles are non slip then they should do the job m8,as for your floor...i would suggest that you get it as even as you can before tiling so that you dont end up with height issues and lipping.
