Porcelain adhesive

Hello,
Possibly a silly question as i'm new-ish to this tiling lark.
I've bought the Q Rock porcelain tiles from Topps and it says I need to use a specialist porcelain adhesive. Can anyone tell me why I need a special adhesive? Helpful man in Topps just said 'because you do'!!

Because porcelain tiles do not absorb water, then adhesives have more trouble get a "grip" on it. Adhesives are modified to assist this gripping process and are usually flexible in nature, though not always, and more often than not a cementitious (powder) type adhesive. BAL Rapidset is one such type of adhesive and contains what BAL call "Porcelbond Plus" technology.

Some tubbed adhesives can be used with porcelain but you must ensure that the background (substrate) is porous so that the moisture in the adhesive has smoewhere to go and then evaporate off.

Adhesives suitable for use contain additives that enhance adhesion to low porosity surfaces
Mapei produce Keraquick or Keraflex Maxi if a standard setting adhesive is required.

Hey dock, you don't happen to have a guide table with MAPEI's adhesives? With open times, coverage, tile types, etc.
