Porcelain Tiles

Hi I have to lay some Porcelain tiles onto a concrete / ashphalt floor . I was told I should use a flexible adhesive and grout but am reluctant as the flexy grout is difficult to clean off. Can I use non flexible addy and grout?

I would'nt, ashphalt will expand in hot weather, what grout are you using

all porc is fixed with flexi addy it contains porcelbond you have been advised correctly

I have been told to use Bal flexy wide joint

I never had a problem with the bal stuff but use mapei now,

jimbo you can use whatever grout or addy you want it has to be flexible

Jimbo it's worth trying to get a topps trade card if you can It reduces the cost of adhesive and grout considerably

Jimbo, get yourself some white emulsifying pads, if you find the grout is getting difficult to remove then use one of the pads with a few drops of water and you should get it all off much more easily than using a sponge/water alone. Also a good idea not to grout too big an area at once especially in this sort of heat.

I have been led to believe that tiling onto ashphalt is a no-no.......could someone please clear this up for me.......thanks
