This won't go down well with a few people on here, but I'm looking for opinions. I have been asked to quote a job for a lady who is insisting on ordering her tiles before I measure up. She is going to guesstimate and then add 50% and then order them from Fired Earth (more money than sense) She has to have her "agger" (sp) removed and has already made arrangements for it to be removed and then refitted. She contacted me through a recommendation and has told me she definitely wants me to do the job.

The dilema is part of me says price the job the same as any other, while the other part says charge a wee bit more because she is pretty much committed to having the job done.

I don't think I would have the front to mark up my price. What would others do in the same situattion? The guy who taught me to tile told me you never want to hear a customer say "is that all?"

Price as a normal job mate, you were recommended, so if your happy with what you charge stick to it, as it seems to be working.

Keep your reputation, that's what gets you work. normal rate plus advise her she doesn't need 50% extra and can save money.

you answered the question yourself really!
reputation is more important m8, if you get greedy on one job it might have an affect later on !..................................

THINK wisely! only you can decide wots best!!!!

I'd go for normal rates too, after all I wouldn't do normal rates if I wasn't happy with them.
