Wood's better

Evening all,

I hope you can help?

I have taken up an unsuitable floor and re laid using tongue and groove 22 mm plywood, glued joints and glued and screwed to the joists. I want to overlay with 6 mm Hardibacker

A question if I may?

Is it advisable to prime the plywood first and if so with which primer and dilution (I understand that the adhesive is only to fill voids, however, think I would like the best possible adhesion!)

Many thanks in advance

Richard.
