Hi. Very new to this forum but desperately need advice from experienced tilers. I am about to tile my bathroom and a wall with a small, thin offset window. I have taken advice and have tried to centre the tiles on the window but neither option for centering seem to work. From centre tile the tile is too close to the window width and I believe will cause problems when laying edging strips and framing the window (very little room for manoeuvre). Tiles spreading from centre leave a very small slither on the short side next to the wall. Centering on the wall on the other hand works very well across the rest of the wall but is poorly centred on the window. I have included pictures. This is a very small bathroom with toilet/basin in fixed positions so nothing really centred on tiles otherwise. I understand that there is no right answer but I would appreciate some advice. My gut is telling me go with the wall centre as neither window centre option seems to work but at least the wall will be even. Thanks, Ben.

Are you going for a 'brick bond' or 'stack bond'?. Sometimes it works out that you can never centre on the window. You could go for a different size tile or just tile the window so that it just off centre. Third option.........relocate window!!!

I woud think that is a very costly process lol

Tile it with what works best!!! Slithers around the window is a no no!!!!

slithers anywhere is a no no! lol... it will still look ok off centre mate as long s the tiling is nice as sean said it cant always be done and you have cleary been looking at the wall for a while by all the markings on the p.b just go with what you think will look best as its your house so you will be looking at it every day

Hi. I am stacking the tiles landscape. Already bought them as didn't pick up on the window issue but they are a great fit for the room otherwise so wouldn't want to change. I think I'm going to stick with the wall centre and tile the window slightly off, not perfect but the window centre options are worse in my opinion. A lot of threads saying must centre on window which worried me a little.

Hi. I tried this but 2 portrait tiles are only just bigger than the recess and would leave slithers either side of the window. It's a right pain in the arse of a window to be honest, just artery awkward size. I think I'll just stick with the wall centre as these seems the best of the bunch. Thanks very much for the input.

I was looking at the photos on my Phone & they are side on & upside down, just noticed the hopper on the window.
I would tile to what you think, you may be over analysing things.

Yeah I was thinking your biggest problem is going to be how to keep the water in the bath and then when your done how to get it to flow down the plug hole
