My son is doing his A level in product design and is looking for something to design and make. Maybe it could be something tiling related ?
I have suggested something practical for cutting trim...I know its been done .
The other suggestion was a mixer paddle cleaner...and yes I know its been done too......Hard to think at the moment.

It doesnt have to be a major product. I was thinking of a tile joint cleaner, one that could be adapted for different thickness joints.

For his last year in High school he designed a spectacle display stand held up with 3 perspex rods with bubbles inside. These were then lit up from the underside by colour changing leds. Its in the local opticians shop at the moment.

Ok, tiling trowels, at the side they could have 'wings' for want of a better description.... 3 benefits... They would hold the trowel at a 45 degree angle + they would hold more adhesive so you could do longer lines + they would compress the adhesive in to the substrates.... Please don't think this is anything like the 45 degree trowels... They are pants!

I use cheap tooth brushes but somethink with an upgrade maybe worth a thought....
